Wedding Bells....

Will be ringing! Big Sexy proposed to his awesome girlfriend B on February 17th! :)

We all got to be apart of it -- from helping him plan and pull it off, to taking pictures, to celebrating at the party.

We had to keep B in the dark BIG time on this because it is so much fun to be totally surprised. We had to keep her from know Big Sexy bought the ring, and we had to misdirect her as to which ring he was thinking of buying.

On Saturday, the 17th, B went shopping with a friend and Big Sexy got everything set up for when she was going to arrive. She thought they were going to a basketball game -- she had no idea. :) She got there, and Scuba Steve was there -- to "go to the game" with them, but really he was there to take pictures of the proposal. The pictures were very important because another secret was the B's mom was actually at our house waiting to surprise her -- and she had to think that pictures were being taken because her mom couldnt make it.

Big Sexy got down on one knee and asked B to marry him -- she said YES! (of course!) and then Big Sexy said they had to come to our house to pick us up for the game.

Scuba was already on his way to our house to join everyone in the surprise party. We had lots of people there to help celebrate....

B had no idea her mom was at our house. When Big Sexy proposed she asked him if he had told her mom he was doing this. He said that he had, but that she couldn't make it because she had something she couldn't get out of. B immediately called her mom and asked "what was so important you couldn't be here!".....so, it was so much fun to see B's reaction to seeing her mom at our house.

When everyone was there, we did a champagne toast to B and Big Sexy, had a light dinner and had cake. It was great. Everyone stayed and visited for a long while. We took some fun pictures and I think we will all remember it as a very fun and exciting night.

We look forward to the wedding -- which is coming up soon! AND -- I was lucky enough to be asked to be apart of it -- so, dieting and exercising to look good in a bridesmaids dress here I come, again. :) But, I couldn't think of anywhere I would rather be on that day than standing up for two friends who are so meant for each other!



B and Big Sexy -- I love you guys and I am SOOOOOO excited to be part of your special day, thank you for asking me. You two are perfect for each other and I know you will have a long and happy life together.

8 years......

February 11, 1999 -- I had dinner at a sandwich shop with this really cute boy. He told me he would like to date me -- I was shocked. I never thought he would be interested in me. I went home to work that weekend, emailed with him a ton, and started the best 8 years of my life.

February 14, 1999 -- Ended a crappy "friends with benefits" (if you can call it that) relationship with a guy from work, who's main purpose was to get even with my parents -- to show them how lucky they had it with me, and that I could date a real jerk -- yeah, I showed them. Crappy guy wrote me an even crappier letter and left it in my car for me to find after work -- crappy.

February 15, 1999 -- Officially became that cute guys girlfriend -- never looked back since.

February 15, 2007 -- Celebrating 8 years together. The best 8 years of my life. Looking forward to the rest of my life with him.



Its not about the Valentines gifts, or the gifts any other time of the year, its not about the house we own, the cars we drive, or the trips we take. Its about every minute of being with him for the last 8 years -- and knowing those minutes have made me a better person, made my life happier than I ever thought possible, and make me look forward to every minute I get to spend with him.

Rob Thomas Concert

Summer 2006 me, hubby, Scuba, and Big Sexy went to a Rob Thomas concert. It was awesome. We had great seats! Jewell was one of the opening acts. Here are a few of the pictures.
